Changing is the unchanging law
Preparing yourself for the changing world, every moment is changing.
Impermanence is the permanent law.
The only permanence is the soul within ourselves, the yuan shen, the original soul, the Tao.
If Qi Flows, You are Healthy!
TraditionalChinese medicine has renowned secrets:
If qi flows, blood follows. If qi is blocked, blood is stagnant. In
traditional Chinese medicine the key reason for all sickness
is qi blockages. Therefore, traditional Chinese medicine
and thousands of healing modalities focus on the qi body.
Qi flows between the cells and organs and through the
meridian system. Some may know about the acupuncture
chart. Some may know about the meridian chart in traditional
Chinese medicine. Meridians are the pathway of
qi, but they cannot be found by modern science. There
are only one or two meridians that scientific researchers
can measure. In anatomy and surgery, meridians cannot be
found. For Western doctors, meridians are invisible.
Now modern medicine is aware and is starting to study qi.
Thousands of MDs have joined conferences to learn acupuncture.
Acupuncture is one of the key treatments of traditional
Chinese medicine. Acupuncture promotes qi flow.

Thoughts for Evaluating the Mid-Point, and Beyond, of your Life
Time goes by and all things change; the weather, our
circumstances, what is going on in our lives.
At some point we all realize we need to re-assess and to make some
changes. How do we do this? To re-program our brain for the next period,
or phase, in our lives?
People carry burdens; seeds not exposed to sunlight,
but instead reside in dark places where they can not grow. Seeds have to have cold water before they can
germinate and grow into the plants that they are destined to become. They can grow and blossom, or they can stay
in the dark and wilt.
People also need some toughness in life, like the cold
water helps the seeds, we accumulate experiences and we must decide on a way to
deal with the many burdens that Life can give to us all. These hard times are often a blessing, in
that they give us a reason, a little push, to make some changes that need to be
made.
Some people have Spiritual difficulties; karmic
patterns that can make a person feel like he is trapped in his life. Or another person thinks that happiness is
"out there" somewhere, but never seems to find it. Others can be overwhelmed by financial
difficulties. Some have found that their
present fortunate circumstances can be wiped out very quickly.
If someone is Spiritually inclined, and believes that
life is guided, it is easier to make changes.
When he comes to the inevitable wall of disillusionment in his life, and
it can be disillusionment with many things; love, finances, jobs, children and
many others. At that point, he needs to
create some space for himself to grow; he can also ask for guidance when making
evaluations to help him in formulating a plan to make the needed changes and
improvements in his life.
He needs to formulate a new Action Plan and Goals for
the next 20 or 30 years of his life.
Many times it is in the midpoint of life (45-50) that one realizes that
the former life is no longer working.
Everyone comes to that point. And
it is a good thing. It gives him a
chance to make changes. Instead of
continuing on with a life that no longer gives him satisfaction and happiness,
it instead becomes an opportunity to create a new, more fulfilling life for
himself.
Many times this involves becoming aware of, and
changing his life pattern, changing his thinking, changing the way he talks
about his life. What we all think and
say many times determines what we do, and it becomes our fate.
We all need to develop a clear vision for our life,
and set clear goals also. Many times we
are living lives that we learned from our parents. What they did, good or bad, is many times
what we (un)consciously continue to live
out in our lives. If you feel confused
and uncertain, it is very hard to solve your problems and envision a new life
for yourself; to consciously decide that we want to make changes, and we are
willing to take responsibility for bringing these changes into reality. This kind of mindset will bring about help
from our Brain Power. That power will be
stronger.
The first step is that we must see ourselves
clearly. Sometimes we need to ask others
to help us with this. We might think
that we are a certain way, but if we ask someone else, they might not see us
that way at all. Many of us go through
our lives with blinders on; staying in the same pattern we have always been in,
and many times the same pattern that our parents lived. And many never question creating something
new for themselves. They are content
with status quo. But, that is not taking
responsibility for ourselves. We must
ask ourselves the question "Do I want the second half of my life to be
exactly like the first?" If the
answer is "no," then we need to get busy on creating something new
for ourselves by re-inventing ourselves.
It is never too late to work on a new plan for your life. Age has nothing to do with it. Age is a number. What matters is whether or not we want to
keep growing and changing.
